Biography
Gerald Stovall is Of Counsel to Manion Stigger, LLP. Gerry has concentrated his over 30-year legal career in the area of construction law. In addition to being an attorney, Gerry is a retired registered professional engineer with a master’s degree in civil engineering and over 12 years of construction and engineering experience as a senior geotechnical engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Law Engineering & Testing Co.
Gerry has worked with all parties in the construction industry across the country, including public and private owners, design professionals, general and specialty contractors, suppliers, and sureties. He is also involved with alternative methods of dispute resolution to assist parties resolve their construction disputes, serving as mediator, arbitrator, and as a member on dispute review boards.
Gerry has lectured frequently to construction industry groups and was an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville’s J.B. Speed School of Engineering. He has been given Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent® peer rating. Gerry is a Fellow with the American College of Construction Lawyer
